Why choose Barefoot Saddles?

I have chosen to work with Barefoot Saddles because of the quality, range and price and I wanted to be able to offer a treeless western saddle as part of my range. For some people a new, well-fitting western saddle is way out of their price range. Or there is not a trained western saddle fitter nearby to assist them in getting the right saddle for their horse, or the horse is young and will change shape, or the horse has muscle wastage and a treeless saddle will give them the freedom to gain back there original shape. This is where the treeless saddles really do help. The Barefoot range was designed by a German equine physiotherapist. The saddles do have a gullet. They are very lightweight compared to a traditional treed western saddle, weighing in at 14lbs without the fenders attached. This makes it ideal for riders who feel they could not cope with the weight of a traditional treed western saddle.
