Introducing Equiflex
In our ongoing effort to improve our product and utilize the latest developments to benefit the horse, rider, and saddler, we proudly introduce EquiFlex®, the Flexible Tree that Bends with your horse. EquiFlex® attains its flexibility by combining a traditional rigid fork and cantle together with a state-of-the-art foundation in lieu of the conventional bars and ground seat. This foundation, molded of a material similar to a rubber-like work boot sole, allows the assembled tree to bend along with your horse's spine while the rigid fork and cantle maintain proper bar angle and spread.
EquiFlex® enhances both your horse's health and performance...
EquiFlex® eliminates soring due to bridging and pressure points associated with conventional rigid trees. EquiFlex® conforms to an uneven back and automatically adjusts to the contours of your individual horse. EquiFlex® can help enhance your horse's performance . It is not about "winning at all costs" or "all that matters is the win." Simply, it's about giving your horse unrestricted freedom to perform to its fullest. A sored or restricted horse will not give you its best.
True Flexibility
EquiFlex® is not a modified skirting system. Neither does it have the limited flexibility of rawhide covered saddle trees or one piece molded saddle forms, both of which flex only under extreme pressures not created during normal riding. Equi-Flex® is designed to easily flex the entire range of your horse's movements. EquiFlex® gives your horse the freedom of bareback riding with the security and weight distribution of a conventional saddle tree .
Attention to Detail
EquiFlex® saddle trees feature a smooth, seamless surface allowing the saddler to easily attain a professional finish without excessive effort. The carefully researched and designed stirrup leather slot provides for maximum travel, unimpeded motion, and ease of adjustment. These are two of the many features that illustrate the EquiFlex® advantage to both saddler and rider .
Tradition
EquiFlex® saddle trees are made with individual components, separate fork, cantle, and horn that yield a near infinite variety of styles. No special tools, fastners, or experience is necessary to build saddles with these flexible trees. Our trees have a proven fit. Each specific fit is field tested over thousands of hours of actual riding by you, the rider of our Equi-Fit® line of quality saddle trees.
State-of-the-Art
The Equi-Flex® foundation is molded of a specially developed elastomer. This state-of-the-art material has a precisely calculated resilience for ideal weight distribution without pressure points. It has memory to maintain correct shape and retains nails better than wood. The molding process ensures that every part is uniform and symmetrical. Trees are always square, level, and without twist. The seat design recognizes and compensates for the differences in male and female pelvic structures giving unprecedented comfort and support for all riders.
Dr. Detief Rittman, Veterinarian:
The newly developed Equiflex saddle tree provides more freedom of movement for the horse. Its advantages are most prominent for the sensitive areas on top of and behind the shoulder. Since the bars usually rest on the shoulders, the increased flexibility due to body heat provides an improvement in the shoulder's freedom of movement. Additionally there is no real resistance as the hhorse bends around the rider's leg. The saddle is also able to grow with the horse's musculature to a certain extent. A very promising development for the future.
The flexible Equiflex saddle tree is the first tree that allows the saddle to flex with the natural movement of the horse's back, allowing it to move unhindered. Equiflex guarantees an optimal, even contact area for all phases of the horse's movement. The bars can adjust to rock, twist and flare, and consist of a specially developed high-tech elastomere material. This eliminates pressure points, and, by limiting the flexibility of the material, no pressure points are created by a spring effect. Like traditional western saddles, the fork and cantle are made of wood (covered with Prohide). This ensures the stability of the bars' angle as well as the position of the bars in relation to each other. As such the Equiflex provides flexibility only where it is advantageous for horse and rider. Equiflex is globally the first saddle tree to offer maximum comfort to the horse moving under saddle. |
